Standard Class Descriptions

  • A 60 minute yoga class follows a Vinyasa style of yoga with a flow sequence that introduces foundational postures, emphasizes key alignment and energizes the body. A sequenced flow will be interwoven with various asanas that will help to enhance flexibility and calm the mind.   • You can expect fun, creative sequencing in this practice with strong focus on alignment whereby beginners will safely learn the basics while more experienced students can take postures to a deeper level. During this practice you will create heat and rejuvenate from the inside out, beginning your day with a clear head and a soft open heart. Wake up and seize your day with this vibrant flow class. All levels.

  • This 60 minute class is designed specifically with your hips in mind. Following a Hatha/Vinyasa style class, the postures are designed to open, align and relax your hips. Runners, athletes or people who stay in one position for long periods of time will especially benefit from this sequencing. A combination of YIN and Yan postures will be used to move, stretch and relax those tight areas, benefiting not only your hips but your back as well. The class is designed to move and stretch the hips in all 6 directions that they naturally move/stretch using a series of asanas stretches, breath and movement will be used to relieve and rejuvenate the hips. This is an all levels class.

  • This class moves a wee bit more and is designed specifically with your hips in mind. We will keep it fun, light, and “movey” while still incorporating periods of stillness to soothing our minds and bodies. This class is for all body types and uses fun creative sequence to move the hips in the 7 directions they were designed to do. There will be a focus on both strength and flexibility to help keep those hips supple and strong, while at the same time taping into the breath to calm body and mind. This is an all-levels class.

  • A soothing class focused on STRETCHING only – leave all the fancy stuff behind and refocus on some good ‘ol stretch and breath class. All levels – all bodies – no experience needed. Grab your “tight” human friends or partners and enjoy this deep body release. We use lots of props (bolsters, straps, blankets and blocks) to meet your body where it is at and “ease” into the stretch at your comfort level. Feed your bodies in a different way and put aside the time to slowly trickle out built up tension deep in key trigger spots common to all. Your body will thank you!

  • This soothing calm class is designed specifically for you to slow down and refresh after a busy day. Attention and focus will be on the vagal nerve using breath work & soft movement to reset your nervous system for better sleep and energy. Props will be used to support the body in positions of ease and comfort to facilitate relaxation allowing you to be open to RECEIVE. Dress as you wish, in warm comfy layered clothes. All levels. No experience needed.

  • This class is designed for seniors to improve strength, balance, confidence, flexibility and socialize with peers. We will use light weights (1-3 lbs), chairs, bands and a variety of props to meet each senior where they are at. Most of the class will be done from standing or seated position (personal preference). Join us as we come together in a safe social setting to improve bone and joint health along with mental wellness. Please bring a water bottle. All levels, all bodies.

  • This strong 75 minute powerful flow class energizes, rejuvenates and provides you with a vigorous approach to finding a connection from within by connecting breath to movement. A series of asana flows coupled with sun salutations leaves you refreshed and transformed. During this energetic class you will breathe, balance, strengthen, twist, invert, stretch and go deep within your core. Although there is a strong powerful flow section, the class begins and ends with deep stretches, providing a whole body breath yoga experience.   • This 60 minute early morning class awakens the body & mind with movement, soft opening stretches followed by some fun flow for to energize. The sequence is carefully planned with kindness towards your joints and muscles. It is a wonderful way to start off your morning by feeding your body bright and early before you demand on it for the rest of the day. Attention to core is key towards the end of class.   • Item descriptionA 60 minute yoga class designed for those who are either newer to yoga, have injuries/aches, or want a slow, thoughtful pace that allows a deep connection with one’s body and inner self through a sequence of gentle movements. This class is mindful of the 50 years plus of experience the body has with repeated overuse of certain areas in the body and the aches and pains that come with that. Therefore, it introduces foundational postures with the aid of bolsters, straps, and blocks as props to ensure stability and proper alignment. It will move, stretch and relax those tight areas, benefiting not only your hips but your back as well. It is a well-balanced class that will rejuvenate your body at a pace that suits your needs. This class is suitable for all levels.

  • This 60 minute class is designed specifically for you to slow down and refresh after a busy day. The focus of the class is around BEING instead of doing. This restorative class will use props to support the body in positions of ease and comfort to facilitate relaxation and health. Most postures will be on the mats, using the floor as another supportive tool. Each asana (pose) will be held for about 5 minutes (with little use of your muscles as the props will be positioned in a way for your body to totally relax). This will allow your body to release tension and with the help of gently guided breathing, you will be able to manipulate your nervous system in such a way that it will calm and soften.Item description

  • Item descriptionThis 60 minute peaceful quiet class uses long passive holds for deep stretches that go into your connective tissues (joints, bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons) to help improve your overall mobility and range of motion. Using your breath and various props to find the correct alignment coupled with a gentle encouragement to relax your body, the force of gravity will be used to assist you with your stretch. This practice of advanced awareness calms the nervous system and your mind while supporting and preserving joint bone and connective tissue health. Although this class is mostly YIN based, there will be a few Yan postures used at times to compliment the overall practice. This class is suitable for all levels.

  • A class designed for those who had an extremely active week (athletes or physically demanding jobs) or extremely tight from from being in a stationary position for long periods of times. For every yoga posture used, there will be a follow up complimentary “rolling technique” to get deep into the fascia and release tension. You will “move then roll” your body towards a beautiful deep release. Each week will be a different area of focus. Suitable for all levels.

  • (For Beginners or New to Yoga): Nervous to try yoga or only dabbled a bit on your mat? This class is geared specifically for those new to yoga or those who are interested in being re-introduced to yoga. This class incorporates simple sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on balance, alignment and flexibility. Cueing and instruction will be given as if you have never been introduced to a posture before and then we build each week. It is a small group setting so lots of time for questions. This class is appropriate for anyone of any age, shape or size.

  • This class is specially designed for those that “push, pull and demand” from their body through continuous movement. This calm practice strives to pull back and soften, providing a gentle stretch into the hip joint, shoulder joint and low back area along with other pesky problems common in athletes or those that continuous demand from their bodies through work or play. Feed your bodies in a different way and put aside the time to slowly trickle out built up tension deep in the myofascia in key trigger spots common to all

  • This 60 minute calming class is designed specifically for you to slow down and refresh after a busy day. The first 35 min of the class focuses on soft movements coupled with stretches to release any tensions from the day. The class then shifts focus to BEING instead of doing for the last 25 minutes. You will use props to support the body in positions of ease and comfort to facilitate relaxation allowing you to be open to RECEIVE. This class will unwind your mind and body and prepare you for a restful sleep. Dress as you wish, in warm jogging pants and other comfy layered clothes. All levels.

  • This class uses relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, visualization, progressive muscle relaxation and restorative postures to unwind your mind and let go of anything no longer serving you. Class begins with a breath focus & meditation and then shifts to restorative postures. These gentle floor-based asanas will use bolsters, blankets, and props that support your body so you can fully relax the muscles, slow down the mental activity of the brain, shift emotional patterns, bring ease to the breath, and tune into your nervous system’s healing capacity.

  • This class uses yoga asanas, coupled with light weights (2lb &3lb) to strengthen your body and improve muscle endurance. Mindfully building strength through familiar yoga poses, you are guided through a practice sequenced carefully to create lightness in your mind and promotes energy to flow freely through your body. The class will leave you feeling stronger, bolder and free to tackle your day. This is an all levels class.

  • “Unwind after work – guided, carefree and free in the forest”

    Join Erin for a guided hike deep in the woods from Vicki Tree Studio. Unleash the mind by hiking aimlessly with the birds to decompress after work. Pop by when it works! No need go come with anyone. Silently walk to the sound of the birds, or chitter chatter with people beside you. Given it is single track trail, we all walk in a single file line so absolutely NO NEED to have to bring a friend. You are enough! Come as you are. This 55 min hike starts and ends at Vicki Tree. All levels.

  • “Escape into the magic of the forest with a hike, followed by a soothing stretch release”

    Enjoy an evening reset with an escape after work! Begin with a 55 min hike deep in the woods, followed by a soft soothing stretch. The guided hike will release your monkey mind after a day of work or sitting. This coupled with a soothing deep release into your tissues and tight areas will seal your evening of BLISS and have your ready for BED! No need to come with anyone – come along and UNWIND & process your day.
