Build to 25km Hike Adventure (10 week series)

Join us for this unique adventure of commitment, endurance and empowerment, one step at a time. We are looking for motivated, committed, passionate and excited individuals looking for a CHALLENGE.

Every Wednesday morning we will hit the trails for this challenging 10 week session. Starting with a 75min hike, we will build time every week, culminating in a final 25km hike in Hockley Valley on Sunday, June 12th.

Wondering if this is for you? Requirement is that you can hike at regular/strong pace for one hour to commit to this adventure. After that, we got you as together we slowly build our endurance.

This session is designed to fit into even the busiest schedules! Yes, you can do it all.

INFORMATION

Dates: Wed morning for 10 weeks (April 22nd – June 24th + Sunday July 12th)

Time: 6:30am in Horseshoe Area near Vicki Tree (build time each week)

FINAL 25km HIKE: Sun July 12th (7 hours) in Hockley Valley (FULL LOOP)

Time Commitment Expectation:

  • Total Hrs Group Hiking: once a week together as a group (25 hrs training together, plus 7 hrs for final 25km hike together)

  • Total Hrs Online Meeting: four 30 minute online Teams Conference Calls

  • Total hrs on your own hiking/cardio: two mini cardio on your own each week (either small hikes or cardio of choice, one 30 minute, one 50 minute)

Investment: $389 +hst (for 35hrs of session including final hike point to point)

Amount of People: 5 – 10 max (will sell out quickly)

KEY POINTS TO CONSIDER:

  • Must be able to hike already for one hour no problem at a medium to strong pace (intermediate level). NOT worried about how long you can go - that is where we build together.

  • All hikes will be in Oro-Medonte area for training. Every Wed, start at 6:30am and add time each week. Email us for the complete end timing schedule. Start time is always 6:30am.

  • Must be committed to every long hike together (only missing 2 group hikes max is critical and to be present for month of June is imperative as longest hikes). If you know in advance, please discuss and we can work something out.

  • We build by time, given terrain changes on trails, therefore each week we add TIME not distance. Distance is not our focus. Time on our feet is!

  • Team mentality and positive outlook of being in the woods and testing your endurance and mind.

  • No refunds after trail adventure begins. Thank you for understanding.

  • We will begin with 1.25 hours and add time each week building up to 4.5 hours so longest hikes are JUNE.

  • Total of four online 30 minute Team Conference Calls in evening to discuss nutrients, water, pacing over duration of 10 weeks. Email us for dates.

  • Final hike is expected to be 7 hours and will be in Hockley with some good elevation.

  • You must sign a waiver stating you are in clear health for this adventure and that you clearly understand the cancellation policy. This waiver is separate and on top of the waiver usually signed for Vicki Tree.

  • YOUR COMMITMENT: Each week we will do our long hike together, and then you are responsible for the other two smaller walks or cardio on your own (30 and 45 minutes of cardio). This is totally doable to still juggle your own lifestyle of work and family.

Cancellation Policy:

Please review the above carefully for your commitment. While we understand “life happens” and things will come up, given the unique nature of this adventure there will be no refunds, exchanges or transfers for any cancellations once the session begins. The session will continue regardless and in order to honor everyone’s commitment and it being a limited number of people for such a unique program, we will hold firm to our cancellation policy.
